Oven Blackened Pulled Pork
Ingredients:
-3lb bone in pork shoulder
-1 tsp salt
-½ tsp ground black pepper
-½ tsp ground white pepper
-¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp onion powder
Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 300F (150C).
Combine all dry ingredients together.
Pat the pork shoulder dry with a paper towel and rub with the seasoning blend, evenly coating the pork.
Place the pork into a large roasting pan and pop in the oven uncovered for 5 hours (you could also cook the pork in a slow cooker if desired, 8 – 10 hours on low heat).Let the pork rest for 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven, then pull it apart (two forks work well!).Serve.
*Count each ounce of pork as 1 protein.
