Wendy's Crock Pot Oktoberfest Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 large can Sauerkraut
  • 4 smoked pork chops (about 4-5 ounces each)
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 large red apple cored and thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Rinse sauerkraut in cold water and drain thoroughly.
  2. Place chops in the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Add drained sauerkraut, wine and bay leaf.
  4. Press cloves into onion. Press down into sauerkraut.
  5. Add apple slices, pushing down into sauerkraut.
  6. Cover and cook on low about 8 hours.
  7. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Serve with mustard if you wish. I sometimes will use a Brandt smoked turkey thigh in place of the pork chops.
