Clinic update during COVID-19 concerns
The safety and health of our patients, their family/friends, and our staff is of the utmost importance to us. We wanted to let you know about the measures we’re taking during this time of growing concern around COVID-19.Firstly, if you are feeling unwell, or wish to limit contact with others, you can easily switch your scheduled office appointment to a virtual one. Dr. Bishop and our counselors have a secure, confidential online platform to have virtual appointments with patients. The platform is called Medeo, and all you need is an e-mail address, smart phone, tablet, or webcam on your computer. We also offer phone appointments, if you prefer.
We have many patients who already use this service through inclement weather, sickness, or if they live far away. Keeping accountability, following up and having support are the best ways to continue any lifestyle change we are working on.If you’d like to switch your booked appointment to a virtual one, please give our office a call at 613-761-8015, or e-mail us at drbishop@bellnet.ca, and provide an e-mail address that we can use to schedule your virtual appointment. We will be checking messages and e-mails tomorrow and Monday, and will get back to you with a link to our online platform for your scheduled appointment. Payment for appointments can be made via credit card or e-transfer to drbishop@bellnet.ca. We ask that anyone feeling unwell or those that have been in contact with others feeling unwell, please make a virtual appointment rather than a physical one!As of this moment, our office will re-open Tues. Mar. 17th unless our building makes the decision to close. We continue our best health practices, and make sure to thoroughly disinfect and sterilize all surfaces, measuring tapes, pens, doorknobs, light switches, etc. as well as continue frequent hand washing with soap and not touching our faces. We will refrain from shaking hands and give plenty of personal space to patients. We are all here for you and committed to your continued health and wellness. We are very thankful to live in this modern era where we can stay connected via phone or internet, and continue to help you achieve your health goals, even if we aren’t able to meet in person.Tomorrow we will be sending out a list of good strategies for grounding yourself, keeping with your healthy lifestyle, and continuing on your health journey during this time of uncertainty in our communities.Sending you lots of positivity and love. Your partners in health,Dr. Bishop, Maureen, Kate, Julie and Tiia
